Meet our people
Our employees strive every day to make a difference to our customers and we see from feedback that our strong relationships do make that important difference.
So we want to introduce you to some of our employees. In a series of interviews, you will get to know a little more about what drives these people to help customers.
Firstly, meet Henrik.
Henrik Hansen is our Strategic Account Manager based primarily in Denmark. He has been with the company for more than four years and has more than 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, particularly dealing with commercial issues and trading. So Henrik approaches much of what he does at Nord Pool with what he calls a ‘customer mindset’.
“It’s really important to get out and meet our customers”, says Henrik. “They are always very professional, efficient and business-focused. That means they are constantly challenging me to predict, meet and exceed their need. But it is that challenge which gets me out of bed in the morning; I like that they are pushing for more – of course they are! And a big part of delivering more is getting to know customers personally and building long lasting, open, frank and trusting relationships.”
Henrik feels that Nord Pool customers understand and appreciate Nord Pool’s friendly and customer-oriented approach to meeting their expectations: “It’s good to listen and be as helpful as possible. But I am also aware that we need – in a competitive world – to expand our customer base in, for example, Germany, The Netherlands, France and Belgium, and to ensure that our intraday offer is the very best that it can be. That’s what I hear from customers right now.
“So I’m glad that we are working on improving the speed and efficiency of our trading solutions and ensuring trading automisation can work smoothly with our platforms. Myself and the team of Nord Pool market managers are totally focused on delivering more and delivering better. Our customers would expect nothing else!”
