The Physical and Financial Power Markets 9 & 10 June 2021

This time around, Nord Pool Academy will be providing this popular course exclusively online, streamed in front of a live audience but with active interaction with all participants.

Join us online from Oslo on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th June 2021 for an introduction to Europe’s leading short- and long-term power markets. This is also a good refresher, covering all major recent changes to the energy markets and potential future developments.

“The Physical and Financial Power Markets” sees experts from Nord Pool, Statnett, AFRY, Refinitiv, and Montel providing valuable insights and answers to your questions. There will, as always, also be a guest presenter speaking on a hot topic; this time Carbon Capture and Storge (CCS electricity production and district heating) by Fortum.

Held in English, the course will unravel the complexity of the power market, whether you are a trader, investor or working in the back or front office. It will be equally helpful for those with a more general interest in the increasingly important energy sector.

Post Pandemic Power Party

When it is possible to arrange a physical gathering, all presenters and participants will be invited to meet and have informal discussions, as well updated energy market presentations and relevant activities you would normally enjoy at our courses.

New topics added 2021In addition to updated presentations on the key topics, we will address Flow Based capacity allocation on interconnectors across Europe as well as the increased use of automated trades in the power markets

The hot topic this time will be on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) relation to the power market via district heating and electricity production.
