Western Denmark joins the Elbas market on 11 April 2007. The Elbas market’s expansion to Western Denmark enables cross-border intraday trading between Western Denmark and Sweden via the Kontiskan cable. The first delivery hour open for trading is hour 01 on 12 April 2007 and the time series are released for trading at 17.00 (CET).
All balance responsible parties in Western Denmark may join the Elbas market. As in the rest of the Elbas market, Elbas trading in Western Denmark is open until one hour before delivery. The delivery hours for the next day will be opened for trading in Western Denmark every day at 17.00.
The transmission capacity available for trading at the Elbas market is the total transmission capacity according to the transmission system conditions, which is available after the Elspot auction. The capacity is reported to the Elbas system by Energinet.dk and SvK (Svenska Kraftnät).
Elbas now covers Finland, Sweden, Western Denmark, Eastern Denmark and Germany.
