Nord Pool Spot, Europe’s leading power exchange, has today announced that Chris Whellams has joined the company as Director IT.
Chris, 40, has wide-ranging business IT experience including system design, implementation and management at industry leading companies such as SunGard, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Royal Bank of Scotland. He joins the company from Finnish fund manager FIM and will be located at Nord Pool Spot’s Helsinki office.
He holds a BEng (hons) in Electronic Engineering with computing from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
Welcoming Chris Whellams to Nord Pool Spot, the company’s CEO, Mikael Lundin, said: “Chris has extensive expertise gained from within important IT areas for Nord Pool Spot as well as valuable international experience. He is well equipped to lead the strategic development of our IT as well as taking responsibility for our wider IT systems and operations.
