This exchange information is a follow-up to exchange information No. 18/2012 - Implementation of Load Frequency Control in the Nordic synchronous system.
The implementation has started with national pilots from December 2012. From January 2013 all four Nordic TSOs contributed with FRR. The base FRR volume during the test period in the Nordic synchronous system is 100 MW. During week 10 the volume of 200 MW was tested. During week 12 the FRR test volume will be 350 MW. During the rest of the test period the volume will be in the range 100-350 MW.
The test period ends summer 2013 with an evaluation, before further decisions are made with respect to technical issues, volumes and market arrangements.
