SDAC Auction Timing and Topology Changes
Some small but important changes to timings for the SDAC auction came into effect on Wednesday 8th June.
The SDAC Partial Decoupling deadline changed from 12:45 to 13:05 and the Full Decoupling deadline from 14:00 to 14:20 - creating an additional 20 minutes in which to deal with any potential decoupling incidents.
As a result, the time for sending any message for risk of partial decoupling has also moved, from 12:25 to 12:40. With the change to deadline for full decoupling comes a new time for sending a message over risk of full decoupling, from 13:30 to 13:50.
NB: No second auction due to thresholds being reached will take place in a case of partial or full decoupling.
Additionally, with the go live of Core Flow-Based market coupling on Wednesday 8th June, the SDAC topology changed as follows:
- Polish (PLC) and German (DEA2) virtual areas are removed.
- New external constraint allocations for Poland, to limit its maximum import and maximum export.
- ATC capacities between Poland, 4MMC and CWE switch to the Core Flow-Based model - hence these capacities will no longer be published.
No technical changes are required to Nord Pool trading systems with Core Flow-Based market coupling.
