As you may already be aware, European Union Electricity Market Reform is proposing day-ahead and intraday liquidity sharing at all times, with the aim of introducing some long overdue changes.
At Nord Pool, we think this is a sound idea.
Welcoming Malaysian Delegation
Nord Pool was delighted recently to host a delegation of senior energy officials from Malaysia, including: Dato’ Abdul Razak Abdul Majid, Chairman, Tenaga Nasional Berhad; Dato’ Hamzah Hussin, CEO, Sustainable Energy Development Authority, Malaysia; and Datuk Mohd Hisham Ab Halim, Head BD, TNB Power Generation.
A productive discussion explored a wide range of current topics in the power industry, with particular attention on interconnectors, power exchange processes and operations.
Nord Pool CEO Tom Darell commented: “At Nord Pool we are always open to sharing our experience and expertise around operating a simple, efficient and secure power system. A central question in this regard is how to successfully integrate intermittent renewable energy to drive energy transformation.”
Energy Loop Joins
We are pleased to welcome Energy Loop GmbH as the newest trading member in Nord Pool’s German day-head and intraday power markets.
Energy Loop specialises in the project planning and construction of photovoltaic parks in Germany.
We look forward to working closely with Energy Loop GmbH to deliver simple, efficient and secure power trading.
