Information on 2016 FRR-A contracting (automatic frequency restoration reserve).
Svenska kraftnät has decided not to procure FRR-A in 2016 until a permanent Nordic solution is agreed between the TSOs. This process will also include further system security analysis. The consequences of this decision for the procurement in other countries are under evaluation by the other TSOs. Until further notice there will be no volumes procured in the Nordic area. As earlier informed (No.36/2015) the procurement will be stopped from week 52 2015.
TSOs will inform their market participants when the contracting will be resumed.
The Nordic TSOs will continue their work as planned on development of a Nordic FRR-A market design.
