Nord Pool Spot is pleased to announce that the NordBalt interconnector will soon be introduced as part of Nord Pool Spots intraday market.
In preparation for the implementation of the new interconnector a service break is planned for Tuesday 24th November 2015. The service period will start at 09:00 CET and it is expected to last for 60 minutes, after which the system will once more be available.

NordBalt is the new submarine cable connecting Lithuania (LT) and Sweden (SE4). The interconnector has a maximum transmission capacity of 700 MW, with a ramping restriction of 600 MW.
The Nord Pool Spot system price calculation will be based on the same model as for the other cables connecting the Nordic and Baltic countries. This means that the system price calculation will include the transmission capacity between LT and SE4.
