In preparation for the upcoming clock change on Sunday 28 October 2018, Nord Pool will be offering a test simulation of our trading platforms in the member test environment on Tuesday 9 – Wednesday 10 October 2018.
The transition from summer to winter time takes place by setting the clock back one hour at 03:00 CET on Sunday 28 October. Therefore Sunday 28th will have 25 hours. We encourage customers to use this test to actively place orders and check the results to ensure they are familiar with the process.
Auction platforms test
On Tuesday 9 October, we will run the day-ahead auction with delivery day 28 October. The test environment is open for bids from today until gate closure time (see below). Please choose delivery date 28 October in the platform and deliver your bids as usual. If you deliver bids via Excel sheets, please remember to download the template for 28 October.
Test times 9 October:
14:00 CET Gate closure time for Day Ahead, GB Half Hour and NPIDA-22
15:30 CET Publication of results
Please note that gate closure times for both platforms is set to 14:00 CET for this test. CASS and REMIT results will be available in the member test environment the following day.
Intraday platform test
Since DST testing for the central XBID System was performed before go-live, there will be no additional DST tests involving XBID contracts before 28 October. Nord Pool members will however be able to test local contracts in Germany and in the UK. For contracts in these areas, the following applies:
On Wednesday 10 October, the intraday platform will be time travelled to 27 October + 12 hours. This means that 15:00 CET 10 October simulates 02:00 CET (hour 3b) for 28 October. This is done to make it easier to perform trades in the affected time slots.
