The Swedish Peak Load Capacity consists of both production and load reduction with a total capacity of 1489 MW. The winter period starts 16 November 2013 and ends 15 March 2014. Readiness of the production plants are 16 hours except Gunnarsbo 38 MW (GT) that starts in 15 minutes. Load reduction can start within 15 minutes.
Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Sweden and Finland are based on the same activation rules as winter 2011/2012. The activation rules were published in an Exchange Information No. 61/2011 Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Finland and Sweden during winter 2011/2012.
